Position Purpose The

Director of Business Development

is a senior leadership role tasked with spearheading strategic growth initiatives and cultivating high-impact partnerships within the healthcare sector. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across new markets, forging alliances with key healthcare stakeholders, and driving revenue-generating opportunities. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and a proven ability to close complex, high-value deals.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the healthcare industry, aligned with the company’s long-term growth objectives.

Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, service lines, and strategic alliances across healthcare providers, payers, digital health platforms, and health systems.

Lead the full lifecycle of deal-making—from sourcing and due diligence to negotiation and execution.

Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with healthcare organizations, provider networks, and industry influencers.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, clinical, legal, finance, and marketing teams to craft compelling partnership proposals and go-to-market strategies.

Stay abreast of healthcare industry trends, regulatory shifts, and policy developments to inform strategic direction and maintain competitive positioning.

Represent the company at major industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility and thought leadership.

Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business development metrics for executive leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, strategic partnerships, or growth roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.

Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals within the healthcare industry.

In-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including provider networks, payer systems, value-based care models, and digital health technologies.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly with C-suite executives.

Strategic mindset with robust financial acumen and analytical capabilities.

Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, FDA).

Preferred Experience

Experience in digital health, health IT, revenue cycle management, population health, or healthcare SaaS.

Prior engagement with integrated delivery networks (IDNs), accountable care organizations (ACOs), or managed care entities.

Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, or other complex deal structures within the healthcare domain.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field with 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s preferred.

Experience:

4+ years in healthcare development, ASC development, or related experience, preferably with familiarity in subspecialty medicine and physician services. Financial acumen and understanding of budgeting and forecasting growth are essential. Willingness to travel to meet physicians and practices.

Work Environment Standard office environment, may involve long screen time, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and occasional stressful situations.
