Welding Workforce Development Leader – Up to $120,000/year Location: Denver

Position Summary

We’re seeking a

Welding Workforce Development Leader

who brings hands-on expertise, a teaching mentality, and a passion for people. In this role, you'll be more than a welder—you’ll be a mentor, a recruiter, a talent evaluator, and a frontline ambassador for our high-volume manufacturing facility. You'll support the full hiring process, from test booth to job offer, while actively promoting our company at schools and career fairs across the region.

This is a high-impact role perfect for a leader who sees welding as more than a job—it’s a craft, a career, and a calling.

What You’ll Be Doing

Candidate Evaluation & Hiring Support

Serve as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) during interviews with welding candidates.

Conduct behavioral and technical assessments to determine skill level, safety awareness, and team fit.

Review weld test results and provide final hiring recommendations with confidence and clarity.

School & Community Outreach

Represent the company as a passionate technical leader at trade schools, job fairs, and community outreach events.

Build relationships with welding instructors and program directors to align on graduate readiness and skill development.

Participate in classroom talks, live welding demos, and host on-site events that inspire the next .

Recruiter Partnership

Collaborate closely with recruiters to align on technical expectations, interview criteria, and candidate quality.

Provide feedback and insight that sharpens hiring strategy and closes skill gaps on the floor.

✈ Travel & Representation

Travel occasionally for weld test observations, school visits, and hiring events (approx. 25%).

Represent the brand with authenticity, humility, and a firm handshake.

What You Bring to the Table

High school diploma or GED (bonus points for certifications).

5+ years of hands-on welding experience in manufacturing or field settings.

Proven leadership experience in mentoring, evaluating, or training fellow welders (formal teaching background not required).

Strong understanding of welding techniques: GMAW, FCAW, TIG, Metal Core, etc.

Experience conducting interviews or performance evaluations in a trade environment.

Natural communicator—approachable, confident, and able to connect with everyone from students to executives.

Willingness to travel (up to 25%).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
