Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD or HS Diploma with 12 years of experience. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance. Security+ or CISSP certifications are preferred. Position: Peraton seeks a Cyber Defense Incident Responder. Job Responsibilities:
Collect intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, trojans) and use data to mitigate potential cyber defense incidents. Coordinate and provide technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve incidents. Coordinate incident response functions. Monitor external data sources (e.g., vendor sites, CERTs, Security Focus) to stay updated on threat conditions and assess potential impacts. Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting. Perform initial, forensically sound collection of images and analyze for mitigation/remediation. Analyze network alerts to determine possible causes. Write and publish after-action reviews and cyber defense guidance reports.
