The Impact You Will Have In This Role
Being a member of the Network Campus Operations team means you will be part of a diverse and collaborative team with critical responsibilities to protect the financial services industry and serve our clients, both internally and externally. As the Director Network Campus Operations Engineering organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining critical DTCC network infrastructure for across our global footprint. This role will deliver a unique opportunity to use your experience and problem-solving skills to transform and advance our most critical front line support organization by building new capabilities through automation, tools and staff development. You and your extended teams will ensure the reliability, stability and operational efficiency of DTCC’S networks to ensure minimal downtime and expeditious resolution of incidence. Your team will also work to improve the service delivery of network services in collaboration with our partners. As the Director you will also drive cultural changes to modernize the organization. The Network Engineering organization has a critical role in supporting client network connectivity.
You will collaborate with Operational and Business Risk Management, Business Operations, as well as IT Infrastructure & Application, Relationship Management and External clients to drive strategic and tactical automation improvements and to enhance existing tools. The Director also creates, maintains and supervises KPI's and identifies controls to measure team effectiveness and consistency to policies and procedures and creates reports to senior management team to provide clarity. The candidate must have good communication skills with the ability to communicate problems, solutions and actions through concise and clear messaging and have demonstrable ability to assess complex issues and structure potential solutions to drive resolution with senior partners.
Your Primary Responsibilities
Support
Providing daily operational support for the Campus Network environments. Technical and managerial escalation for the department, including off-hours and weekend calls as needed. Provide project support for Campus initiatives Work closely with End User Support Teams to ensure high quality client experience for internal users.
Strategy and Goals
Develop Network Operations strategy and team goals that align with the IT Strategy Supporting Zero Trust Strategies, micro segmentation, and enhance campus security practices. Supporting highly resilient networks
Service Delivery
Drive shift-left initiatives from Engineering to Automation Maintain the network services catalog. Annual evaluation of Standard Change. Identify with the team candidates for automated delivery. In-depth analysis of all service items as needed.
Disaster Recovery
Key Network representative for Site Disaster Recovery, Managerial and Technical issue during tests and in the event of an actual disaster. Engage with Disaster Recovery customers for continuous improvement, problem management, future-state planning and continuous readiness.
Audit and Management Testing
Directly Responsible Individual for direct and indirect requests for information about Network Operations from Internal, External and Regulatory audits. Identify and raise MSI’s as part of continuous management control testing of process and technology.
KPI, Metrics, Incident Reporting
Evaluate and create service improvement plans based on KPI’s and Metrics.
Campus Network
Customer concern for campus network outages and any post-mortem management actions. Engage with vendor management as needed. Collaborate with Network Engineering on Future state initiatives and implementations on the client network. Develop and promote programs to improve network resiliency.
Security & Resiliency
Solid understanding if cyber security concepts Experience developing security in depth solutions and network hardening Continuously improving our security practices and standards.
Observability and Tool Management
Partner with Virtual Command Center to build and enhance network observability capabilities. Partner with the network tools management, platform engineering delivery teams, and tool vendors to optimize tool usage and coverage across all network estates.
Staff and Resource Management
Develop skill proficiency metrics and upskill opportunities for the entire team. Design staffing models to ensure 24x7 coverage. Financial and SOW planning for contracted resources.
Risk, Cyber Security, Other BCR Activities
Demonstrable understanding of cybersecurity principles with the ability to successfully communicate the intersection of network services and cybersecurity across all organizational levels. Make final decisions on Change Implementations when called out for risk analysis by the team. NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed For Success
Strong familiarization and Industry certifications for key vendors (Cisco/Palo Alto/Z-Scaler) Ability to work across teams to create partnerships that achieve organization goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture. Knowledge and Familiarity with network technology platforms, vendors and solutions. Experience analyzing data to create improvement actions. Experience initiating Continuous Improvement Projects
