$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Role Overview The Convention Service Manager coordinates arrangements for group meetings and conventions, plans and implements events, and manages contract negotiations and vendor agreements. Responsibilities include handling administrative functions for sales staff and leadership, requiring flexible work hours. Qualifications
College coursework in a related field preferred. Experience in hospitality or related industry preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in Windows OS. Excellent communication skills. Ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately. Ability to work under stress and maintain composure. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to understand complex information and data. Effective listening and conflict resolution skills. Basic understanding of financial data and arithmetic. Responsibilities
Provide attentive, courteous service to guests and colleagues. Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming. Adhere to safety and operational standards. Complete required certifications (Food Handlers, CPR, First Aid, etc.). Meet individual booking goals. Organize and maintain sales files and reports. Assist with contract processing, event planning, and client communication. Coordinate with departments for event setups and requirements. Manage administrative tasks including correspondence, inventory, and reporting. Participate in meetings and training sessions. Support sales and catering operations as needed.
