Job Description We’re in search of team leaders who would like to run a business as if it were their own. An
Area Operations Director
is responsible for facilitating the operations of 5-7 stores within a region. He/She will report to the Vice President of Operations and work closely with Regional District Sales Managers to ensure a high level of customer service.
Position Responsibilities
Manage daily branch operations of multiple locations within an area
Hire and develop team associates
Open and develop new greenfield operations
Assist in managing branch locations in the absence of branch managers
Ensure safe business practices and conduct store operation audits
Conduct inventory audits, manage purchasing, and oversee facility security
Manage inventory, costs, fleet, logistics, and warehouse operations
Manage damage and loss prevention, policies, and regulatory compliance
Required Skills
Preferably a 4-year BS in Marketing/Sales or Business
5-10 years of roofing distribution experience
Successful management of a high-volume roofing distribution facility
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial roofing products
Willingness to travel 50% or more
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet
Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, enthusiastic
Excellent customer service, management, organizational, and communication skills
Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Dependable with a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a drug test
