Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Program Manager
to oversee the delivery, execution, and maturation of Generative AI and Machine Learning initiatives. The role entails direct engagement with the client’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Division, supporting enterprise-wide AI/ML tools such as xx-Chat, xx-infoAssist, and Document Insights. This individual will drive program governance, ensure regulatory alignment, and coordinate cross-functional teams for development, deployment, and optimization of AI/ML solutions in a federal environment.
This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.
Requirements
Lead the planning, management, and execution of the AI/ML initiatives under the GenAI Service Delivery Team. Coordinate multi-vendor engagements, manage timelines, risks, and scope across projects using AI/ML in Azure OpenAI, AWS, and open-source platforms. Oversee program-level task execution for: AI/ML policy development and compliance. Architecture and infrastructure scaling. Capability tuning (e.g., pre-generative training, prompt engineering). AI lifecycle support including tool decommissioning and model updates. Stakeholder communications and executive reporting. License inventory and configuration management. Manage Continuous Improvement Program Plans and ensure annual updates based on Federal guidelines and GenAI industry evolution. Serve as primary liaison for technical oversight, contract deliverables, and strategic direction related to GenAI services. Lead formal and informal reviews of documentation (e.g., Operations Handbook, Knowledge Transfer Plan, Training Results). Coordinate with client’s Solutions Lab and ITS to align prototype work with production-ready GenAI capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected Bachelor’s degree in either the IT or relevant engineering field Minimum of 10 years of experience managing IT programs, with 5+ years focused on AI/ML implementations in an enterprise or government setting. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI/ML lifecycle operations including tuning, deployment, model integration, and performance monitoring. Strong familiarity with Azure OpenAI, GPT-4/GPT-4o, LLAMA, and other LLM platforms. Deep understanding of Federal data protection standards, AI ethics, and compliance frameworks. Proven track record in vendor coordination, especially under Labor-Hour or T&M contract structures. Experience with development or oversight of: AI Operations & Maintenance Handbooks Pre-Generative Training Result Reports Knowledge Transfer Plans AI Capability Tuning documentation
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or PgMP certification Master’s degree in either the IT or relevant engineering field Prior experience with Federal IT programs Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and performance-based contracting Understanding of AI/ML monitoring platforms (e.g., AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Dynatrace) Hands-on experience with model evaluation and metrics-based AI performance reporting
