Coastal Marine Construction, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead our health and safety efforts across a diverse range of marine and coastal construction sites. In this critical role, you will design, implement, and monitor safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety from the office to the field. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute health and safety plans aligned with project-specific guidelines and company objectives. Prepare and enforce comprehensive safety policies to establish a culture of safety on every site. Inspect practices, procedures, and job sites to assess risks and ensure full regulatory compliance. Conduct employee training and deliver safety presentations on procedures and accident prevention. Monitor and audit compliance through regular inspections of personnel, operations, equipment, and machinery. Lead investigations for on-site incidents or accidents and assist in managing worker's compensation claims. Provide clear reporting on safety statistics, concerns, and recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with field and project leadership to integrate safety into planning and execution. Recommend new measures or technologies to improve site safety and compliance outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Safety or Compliance Manager in construction or heavy civil environments. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards. Proven ability to develop safety documentation, conduct audits, and lead investigations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and implement mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and training skills for diverse field and office teams. Strong organizational and motivational abilities; attention to detail is essential. Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. CPR Certification - Required OSHA 30 Certification - Required
