Primary Purpose: To provide leadership and strategic coordination for curriculum and instruction across PK–5 grade levels, ensuring foundational literacy and numeracy, vertical and horizontal alignment, and equitable access to early learning and elementary academic opportunities. Serves as a direct supervisor and coach to early childhood specialists and elementary content coordinators. Supports the Executive Director in translating the district's vision into actionable systems and practices.

Qualifications: Education/Certification: • Master’s degree required • Valid Texas teaching certificate • Principal certification preferred • T-TESS certification preferred Special Knowledge Skills: • Expertise in early childhood and elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment • Knowledge of Pre-K Guidelines, PK–5 TEKS, and early learning assessments • Understanding of foundational literacy, numeracy, and whole-child development • Strong leadership, coaching, collaboration, and communication skills Experience: • Minimum five years successful classroom teaching, preferably PK–5 • District or campus instructional leadership experience • Experience supervising or coaching educators preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Instructional and Program Management • Direct PK–5 academic services to meet student needs • Plan, implement, and evaluate elementary programs with specialists, coordinators, and principals • Apply research and data to improve early academic outcomes • Collaborate with staff to develop, maintain, and revise curriculum documents based on systematic review • Oversee use and alignment of instructional materials, assessments, and digital tools in PK–5 classrooms • Support implementation of early literacy and numeracy initiatives • Supervise early childhood specialist, early childhood coordinator, and elementary academic coordinators • Design and facilitate professional development and instructional coaching for elementary educators • Coordinate PLC systems at the elementary level and ensure alignment with district priorities • Analyze student achievement data (e.g., Circle, MAP Growth, STAAR) to inform instruction • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on data and feedback • Support the implementation and monitoring of Academic and Accountability initiatives across PK–5 initiatives Leadership and Collaboration • Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, including specialists and content coordinators • Assist with recruitment, selection, and development of elementary academic personnel • Participate in campus visits to assess Academic and Accountability implementation and provide support • Serve as liaison between elementary teams and the Executive Director • Collaborate with departments such as Special Education, Bilingual/ESL, MTSS, and Family Engagement to ensure alignment and equitable support • Maintain consistent communication systems across PK–5 academic teams
