Job Summary The Senior Manager of Supply Chain – Color & Additives USA/CAN has broad responsibilities across all regional sites balancing supply and demand across all relevant time fences. The primary responsibility of this role is leading a team accountable for production order creation and management, as well as purchase order creation and management for all the sites in the region. Additionally, this role will support lean six sigma initiatives (focused on supply chain automation), support Customer Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing as the liaison between customers, sites and Vendors, be a critical member of the business leadership team and will be held accountable for primary supply chain KPI’s. Essential Functions Accountable for the balance supply with demand on a short term and long-term basis Manage inventory investment throughout the chain to minimize working capital investment. Lead supply chain automation initiatives Act as the sponsor / primary stakeholder for global cross-BU supply chain improvement projects Enhance protocols for communicating standards and changes throughout the supply chain Responsible for the interaction of production planners and plant schedulers, must resolve issues and build consensus on supply strategy. Communicate process and service issues to Business Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Production Planning and Technical Service. Analyze data to improve safety stock levels, EOQ’s and forecasting capabilities. Other duties as assigned. Scope The position will lead 6 direct reports and be responsible for a team consisting of 20+ resources supporting the USA/CAN region. Education and Experience Bachelors - business or engineering required 10+ years experience in transactional supply chain (planning, procurement, etc) Trained in problem solving techniques (LSS or equivalent) Additional Qualifications APICS certification preferred LSS green belt or higher preferred
