Position Summary:

The HR/Workplace Compliance Project Manager will investigate conduct and behavioral issues, implement discipline, represent management in grievance procedures, conduct investigations into harassment and discrimination complaints, manage accommodations, oversee the intern program, and serve as a management representative on labor-management committees. A successful candidate must have a proven track record in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Accommodations:

Evaluate employee requests, ensure compliance, and monitor accommodations.

Collaboration:

Represent management on labor-management committees.

Investigations and Training:

Conduct investigations into harassment and discrimination, and provide training on policies and best practices.

Assess Misconduct:

Investigate conduct issues and implement disciplinary actions in line with policies and agreements.

Grievance Procedures:

Administer grievance processes per collective bargaining agreements and laws.

Workplace Culture:

Promote DEIA and social justice initiatives.

Intern Program:

Manage the intern program, including onboarding, training, and project assignment.

Vendor Contracting:

Ensure compliance in vendor solicitation and hiring.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Proven experience in labor law, employment disputes, and Title VII compliance.

Commitment to organized labor.

Deep understanding of HR compliance frameworks and employment law.

Strong knowledge of grievance procedures and investigation protocols.

Excellent communication and investigation skills.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Experience applying equity-centered decision-making strategies.

Minimum of 8 years in labor relations, HR, or related field.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with office technology and collaborative tools.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently and in teams.
