Position Summary
The On-Site Materials / Asset Manager plays a critical role in supporting semiconductor tool installation projects by managing the flow, tracking, and accuracy of materials and equipment on-site. This role ensures precise inventory control, timely receipt and distribution of high-value components, and meticulous asset tracking to meet the demanding requirements of semiconductor tool installations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced, cleanroom-sensitive environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, and OEM personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately receive and log materials, components, and tool parts using the designated inventory management system; verify packing lists and ensure proper pricing, quantities, and required delivery dates are recorded. Coordinate closely with site logistics, tool install teams, and OEMs to support just-in-time delivery of critical materials for tool installations. Maintain accurate and auditable inventory logs; conduct cycle counts and month-end reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with project teams. Monitor shipment schedules, expedite critical deliveries, and track backorders or missing items; communicate updates proactively to Superintendents, Project Managers, and Foremen. Manage the on-site asset tracking system, ensuring all company-owned tools and equipment are accurately recorded, maintained, and returned. Ensure compliance with cleanroom and ESD protocols when handling and storing sensitive materials. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage area with proper labeling, segregation, and handling of materials based on project and customer specifications. Support invoice reconciliation by investigating and resolving material receipt or pricing issues in coordination with procurement and finance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, reduce material waste, and optimize on-site material workflows. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support successful project execution. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient delivery of semiconductor tool install projects.
Required Skills And Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certification in materials management, logistics, or supply chain is a plus. Minimum of two years’ experience in materials or inventory management, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech construction industry. Strong understanding of materials management in a construction or tool install environment, with emphasis on precision and schedule-driven workflows. Proficiency in inventory control systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Excellent communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and ESD-safe material handling practices. Experience working with semiconductor OEMs or within a fab construction environment is highly preferred.
