The Director of Data & Analytics will lead the development of 1915 South’s first-ever in-house data warehouse and analytics infrastructure. This role is critical to unlocking long-term growth by transforming fragmented data into a centralized, structured, and accessible platform that enables fast, business-relevant insights. As both a technical expert and strategic partner, this leader will bridge the gap between raw data and business operations, telling clear, actionable stories through data to empower decision-makers across all departments — including Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Care, and Distribution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Design and build a scalable, in-house data warehouse and reporting infrastructure from the ground up. · Source, clean, and organize data from multiple systems, vendors, and platforms into a centralized and efficient format. · Own and evolve the enterprise-wide reporting and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. · Lead the design, development, and distribution of dashboards and reports that empower decision-making across functional areas. · Serve as a strategic business partner by translating data into clear, actionable insights that drive performance. · Act as the data steward for the business — ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all domains. · Develop and manage best practices for data integration, architecture, and modeling to support long-term scalability. · Function as a working leader who is actively involved in building models, querying data, and developing dashboards. · Own the build-out of reporting and analytics from the ground up, with future responsibility for hiring and managing analysts across functions. · Champion a data-driven culture, equipping stakeholders with self-service tools and capabilities where appropriate. · Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field, required. Master’s degree, preferred. · 8+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, engineering, and business intelligence, ideally in a retail or consumer-facing industry, required. · Proven experience building a data warehouse and reporting infrastructure from scratch. · Advanced SQL skills required. · Proficiency in Power BI and familiarity with other data visualization tools. · Strong understanding of business operations, especially in retail verticals like Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations. · Ability to tell the “data story” - translating technical data sets into strategic narratives and actionable insights. · Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams. · Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
