Description The successful candidate will have a proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on a wide range of projects. You will work alongside a small but impactful team, collaborating with data analysts, software developers, project managers, and other teams at Apple to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines and processing workflows. Architect and implement large-scale systems and data pipelines focusing on agility, interoperability, simplicity, and reusability. Integrate Apple business strategies into data modeling solutions. Utilize expertise in infrastructure, warehousing, data protection, security, data collection, processing, modeling, and metadata management to build end-to-end solutions supporting metadata logging, anomaly detection, data cleaning, and transformation. Identify process improvement opportunities and drive solutions from conception to implementation. Explain complex business processes, systems, and tools, focusing on upstream/downstream impacts and interrelationships. Address issues in data design or integration and discuss technical tradeoffs across system architecture, database design, API design, and infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields. 5+ years experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and data solutions optimized for performance, handling both structured and unstructured data. Deep expertise in Data Principles, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and strong SQL skills. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Tableau, or similar technologies. Experience with ERP systems such as HR, real estate, finance systems. Strong professionalism, ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, and handle sensitive information with integrity. Proficiency in data modeling techniques and database design, including SQL and NoSQL. Expertise in Java, Scala, Python, Unix Shell scripting, and job schedulers. Experience in complex, cross-functional organizations. Familiarity with Apple technologies like Xcode and Swift is a plus. Knowledge of data science, machine learning, and AI for advanced analytics solutions. Note: The salary range for this role is $146,300 to $291,400, depending on skills and experience.
