This position is for a Construction Project Manager to lead the NAVFAC Far East (FE) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) on Diego Garcia. It is an unaccompanied assignment located on Diego Garcia, B.I.O.T. Position Summary This role is within J&J’s Engineering Solutions business unit, primarily serving the Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency. The Project Manager oversees a team of about 10 site supervisory personnel, managing a project workforce of over 100 across multiple Task Orders. The focus is on relationships, schedule, and budget management. Key Responsibilities

Manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships on-site. Oversee estimating for new proposals. Develop and negotiate subcontract scopes and manage subcontractors. Lead projects from solicitation to closeout. Ensure staff have necessary authority and resources. Coordinate design efforts to meet milestones. Manage repair and renewal efforts ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness. Create and maintain project schedules using appropriate software. Manage project submittals and plans. Fill supervisory roles if needed to maintain schedules. Perform audits and generate improvement plans. Develop and refine processes for safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. Foster team development and succession planning. Support business development initiatives. Train and manage staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution. 15+ years managing similar construction projects. Experience leading large teams and multiple projects. Preferred experience in OCONUS projects, especially in Asia, Pacific, or Indian Ocean regions, including Diego Garcia. Experience with US Navy or NavFac is a plus. Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite. Physical and Environmental Requirements

Work includes office and construction site environments. Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and navigating uneven terrain. Exposure to typical construction site elements and hazards. The salary range is $180,000-$225,000, with competitive benefits. This description may change as needed.
