BIM/VDC Manager

The primary function of the BIM/VDC Manager is to oversee the implementation and management of Building Information processes and tools across projects. Within this role, you will work closely with project teams, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination, clash detection, and construction-ready documentation. Skillfully prioritizes their time Communicates effectively and clearly Disciplined in managing and executing multiple tasks and assignments Essential Functions and Abilities Required: Create, update, and manage 3D models and 2D drawings Lead BIM/VDC coordination and clash detection processes for design and construction phases Develop and enforce BIM execution plans, standards, and workflows. Manage model federations for various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP). Lead regular coordination with design teams, trade partners, and consultants to aid prevention and resolution of issues. Daily use of BIM/VDC software programs (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC) Maintain consistency of model integrity throughout design changes and field updates. Train internal project teams and external stakeholders on BIM best practices. Ability to visit job sites and adapt to construction environments. Knowledge and Skills Building Fundamentals – has experience in commercial construction means and methods. Possesses strong construction knowledge and plan reading abilities. Planning & Scheduling – Able to sequence and coordinate work to achieve project milestones. Quality Control – Thorough understanding of plans, specifications, and code to ensure high quality results. Safety – is competent and knowledgeable of all major construction hazards through past training and experience. Has the ability to effectively identify hazardous conditions and unsafe acts or practices. Can implement effective solutions to remedy construction hazards and lead a strong culture of safety on a jobsite. Education / Experience Required: A bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required). Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC. Familiarity with Laser Scanning process and implementation Deep understanding of construction process and implementation Interpersonal skills – ability to engage with internal team members, and external stakeholders, and trade contractors in a constructive, productive way to overcome obstacles and achieve results. Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Experience with Lean Construction or IPD is a plus.
