Job Summary The duties of a Sleep Medical Director include maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and supporting the hospital's mission and values. Primary Responsibilities
Oversee testing procedures and ensure proper qualifications of all medical and technical personnel. Work approximately 20 hours per month, with at least eight hours on-site in the sleep facility. Provide oversight of testing protocols and ensure quality of testing, including operation and calibration of equipment. Review, report, and update the quality assurance program quarterly. Ensure all quality metrics are reviewed and signed off by the medical director or a designated sleep specialist, with reports kept on file for at least one year. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Doctoral degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program, with completed training in an ACGME-accredited sleep medicine fellowship. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Minimum of 3 years' experience as a sleep medicine physician. Board certification in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) or equivalent. Valid unrestricted New Mexico medical license. Current DEA registration for controlled substances. Reporting Line Reports to the Chief of Staff or Interim Chief Executive Officer. Additional Details
