Position Highlights The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix is seeking an outstanding academic physician to serve as chief, division of interventional radiology in the Department of Radiology. This individual, appointed at the associate or full professor level, will be responsible for strategic leadership and directions for all aspects of the division's clinical, education, research, and programmatic missions. Address:
475 N. 5th St, Phoenix, AZ 85004, USA. The chief will lead a team of interventional radiologists, ancillary staff, and personnel, and will be responsible for expanding the program. Specific needs include recruiting faculty, building clinical programs, and developing clinical investigations. An additional goal is to establish a GME training program in partnership with Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. This position reports directly to the chair of the Department of Radiology and has a matrix reporting relationship to the CEO of Banner – University Medical Group and Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix for clinical activities. The candidate must qualify for an appointment at the rank of associate or full professor, participate in teaching, clinical service, and scholarly work, and meet the requirements for either a career or tenure track faculty position. Duties & Responsibilities: Faculty development Recruitment and retention of diverse faculty and staff Educational and training programs including residency Research growth Development of novel clinical programs Minimum Qualifications: MD, DO, or equivalent from an accredited institution Eligibility for appointment at associate or full professor level Board certified in Interventional Radiology Unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona Over 6 years of complex administrative experience in an academic medical center Track record of distinction in teaching, clinical care, and research Commitment to patient care and team-based philosophy Experience in faculty and program development Eligibility for medical staff membership at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix Preferred Qualifications: Additional degrees (e.g., PhD, MPH) Experience in developing new academic programs and services Leadership in Interventional Radiology Research funding and publications Service on NIH panels or professional societies Application Details:
