Location Project will be located in the Indo-Pacific Region, including but not limited to Hawaii, Philippines, Australia, and Guam. International travel and/or temporary relocation will be required for the duration of the project.

Position SLS is seeking an experienced QC Manager interested in international travel to join a fast-growing and dynamic Federal Division that is pursuing civil infrastructure opportunities across the Indo-Pacific Region with federal clients such as NAVFAC, USACE, and AFCEC.

The QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing project quality control plans to ensure construction meets or exceeds all contract requirements. The role involves day-to-day operational responsibilities to the Project Manager/Superintendent and functional responsibilities to the Director of Quality Control.

Responsibilities

Serve as QC Manager reporting primarily to the Project Manager/Superintendent, with additional responsibilities to the Director of Quality Control.

Manage and maintain client relationships while protecting company interests.

Become familiar with all plans and specifications that govern the project.

Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan to ensure contract compliance.

Communicate QC Plan expectations and requirements effectively with all stakeholders.

Perform quality inspections as per contract requirements and the 3-phase quality system.

Proactively inspect in-process work to ensure conformance and minimize rework.

Establish inspection protocols for off-site work to ensure high quality standards.

Manage efforts of third-party testing and inspection companies supporting the project.

Review all submittals for compliance with contract specifications before submission.

Conduct internal/external audits to ensure compliance with the QC Plan.

Maintain and manage RFI and Non-Conformance Registers to resolve construction issues.

Provide quality reports daily, weekly, and monthly.

Assist in developing QC Plans for future projects.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager/Superintendent or Director of Quality Control.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years as a QC professional on construction projects valued over $10M.

2- or 4-year Degree in construction, engineering, or related fields is strongly desired.

Experience with federal projects involving DOD/USACE/NAVFAC is strongly desired.

USACE CQCM certification is strongly desired or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

30-hour OSHA certification is strongly desired or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Proficiency with computers and MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.

Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required.

Ability to pass background/security checks is required.

Secret or higher Security Clearance is strongly desired.
