Monday - Sunday 9:00am - 10:00pm Shifts may include up to 2 hours before or after store hours for prep and cleaning. Ghirardelli's employees are the face of our company. Over the past 48 years, our Restaurant and Retail division has evolved from a single soda fountain and retail store in Ghirardelli Square into a dynamic department with over 700 colleagues. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing various aspects of the store, upholding high standards, and supporting the general manager to ensure excellent customer service, maximize financial returns, and create a positive work environment. QualificationsStore Management
Ensure the well-being of the store and employees through effective safety and risk management, including prevention, escalation, and response. Communicate effectively and timely across all levels following company standards for team-building, recognition, and professionalism. Collaborate with store personnel, management teams, and corporate departments such as HR, IT, finance, and payroll. Restaurant and Retail Operations
Prioritize daily store activities under the guidance of the general manager. Manage operations of sales areas, including cash/wrap, retail, and fountain areas, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocation. Act as a primary contact with corporate and outside vendors during management absences. Uphold exemplary customer service standards by modeling appropriate behavior and leadership. Monitor sales and labor costs in real-time to maximize profitability without compromising service quality. Respond promptly to escalated customer service issues. Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and branding, including allergen communication and compliance with company policies. Use the MICROS system effectively. People Management
Assist with payroll, scheduling, interviewing, and training in collaboration with HR and payroll departments. Develop Chocolateers through coaching, mentoring, and empowerment. Handle employee relations issues such as discipline or suspensions under the general manager's guidance. Serve as a role model and resource for Chocolateers.
