Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Title: Operations Supervisor - House of Blues Requisition #: 574308 Location: Boston, MA, US, 02215 Job Description The Operations Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of Citizens House of Blues, ensuring that events run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining high customer service standards, coordinating event logistics, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Operations Supervisor will collaborate with departments such as event management, security, and technical teams to deliver seamless experiences for performers and patrons. This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager. About Citizens House of Blues Located in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, Citizens House of Blues hosts top-tier artists and events annually. The venue features a concert hall with a 2,200-person capacity, a vibrant restaurant and bar, private event spaces, and the Foundation Room—offering a unique blend of live music, dining, and culture. Job Responsibilities

Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production sheets and recipes. Direct daily activities. Ensure food safety and quality according to policies and procedures. Store food items safely and organize storage areas. Maintain serving schedules; ensure food is served per menu specifications following policies. Ensure a sanitary environment complying with health and safety codes. Maintain accurate weekly inventory. Prepare orders to ensure proper production levels. Supervise, evaluate, and counsel employees; promote growth and teamwork. Maintain a safe working environment. Train and mentor staff. Keep logs of equipment maintenance and safety/temperature logs with corrective actions. Perform preventative maintenance and recommend equipment replacements. Multitask effectively. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Fill in for absent employees when necessary. Prepare for and oversee catering events, including occasional night and weekend work. Attend staff meetings and communicate effectively with team members. Perform cashier duties if needed. Promote positive public relations. Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions. Completion of a sanitation course within the first year. Knowledge of operating efficient, cost-effective programs.
