Codexis is a leading enzyme engineering company leveraging its proprietary CodeEvolver technology platform to discover, develop and enhance novel, high-performance enzymes and other classes of proteins. Codexis enzymes solve for real-world challenges associated with small molecule pharmaceuticals manufacturing and nucleic acid synthesis. The Company is currently developing its proprietary ECO Synthesis platform to enable the scaled manufacture of RNAi therapeutics through an enzymatic route. About the Opportunity: The

Senior

Project Manager

within our RNA Manufacturing team is responsible for partnering with all areas of the business to help advance customer assets into and through the clinic using ECOSynthesis technology. Working directly with ECO Innovation colleagues and CDMO partners to bring assets into the clinic. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for understanding all aspects and interdependencies of the asset strategy and is accountable for managing timelines and key deliverables by working with subject matter experts and departmental representatives to coordinate operational activities. The Senior Project Manager will lead the process to ensure all client goals and stage gates are met, identifying and elevating risks and opportunities to achieve success.

In this role you will be responsible for:The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing client projects, creating and executing project plans in alignment with Codexis policies and procedures.

The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Business Development & Alliance Managers, as well as customers.

The Senior Project Manager collaborates closely with internal departments at Codexis to ensure successful project delivery that meets customer expectations.

Project Delivery:

Adhere to applicable SOPs and Business Processes related to Project Management

Ensure that project teams/representatives conduct appropriate assessments.

Maintain a comprehensive project plan and ensure all activities are executed (Revenue, OTIF, Stage Gate Review, Change Orders, Steering Committee, Project Completion Reviews).

Identify and escalate scope changes, resource allocation, and scheduling conflicts.

Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all aspects of the Quality System and cGMP compliance are in accordance with regulatory and internal standards. Project Communication:

Promptly share project documentation (e.g., minutes, emails, data) capturing critical information for relevant stakeholders.

Ensure communication is clear, timely, and sensitive, especially in the case of deviations.

Cost Management:

Submit milestone invoices to Finance and provide revenue updates.

Collaborate with Business Development to review new proposals and address scope changes.

Develop team members to continuously improve performance to meet business needs.

Lead efforts to identify and evaluate areas for improvement in project processes.

Collaborate with other departments to improve support changing business needs.

Lead customer projects from concept to completion, partnering with both internal and external cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Build relationships with internal departments to coordinate and establish project priorities.

Assist in determining resource needs and assigning project goals to appropriate departments.

Contribute recommendations for process and administrative improvements to address inefficiencies.

Support business development by informing prospective clients about our ECOSynthesis manufacturing capabilities.

Assist Business Development by gathering custom project requirements and building strong client relationships.

Identify and resolve complex problems by applying creative solutions based on existing strategies.

Must Have: ability to create and edit Gantt charts live during meetings.

The essential requirements of the job include:

B.S. degree with 8 or more years of Project Management experience Knowledge of bulk API manufacturing and / or a strong background in cGMP / contract manufacturing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Advanced degree strongly preferred Additional experience that would be valuable for this role includes:

Self-starter who can manage ambiguity, handle multiple stakeholder priorities while performing job responsibilities accurately. Ability to understand program objectives and risks across the entire API development, regulatory submission and commercialization landscape. CODEXIS PAY TRANSPARENCY: The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Redwood City is $162,000 to $195,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Codexis is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
