The Worldwide Microsoft 365 Consumer Category Management team aims to reach as many consumers as possible worldwide through various channels, guiding them on their journey to the cloud. We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Consumer Category Manager to design and lead new acquisition strategies to accelerate our subscription business globally. This role involves close collaboration with business planning, finance, operations, and field teams to execute initiatives. Responsibilities
Strategy & Program Design Develop new customer acquisition strategies across OEM.com and Apple first/third-party channels, focusing on increasing Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Define strategies for "New On-Ramps" initiatives to acquire subscribers via online OEM partner stores and Apple's retail ecosystems. Design and implement scalable online attach sales programs with OEM partners like Lenovo, Dell, and HP, aligning with DPS and CCPM teams. Create compelling subscription offers at point-of-sale on OEM websites and ensure effective execution. Refine the "New On-Ramps" framework to unlock additional sell-thru units and attach opportunities across digital ecosystems. Partner Engagement & Execution
Collaborate with OEM and Apple teams to tailor Microsoft 365 value propositions within their ecosystems. Develop messaging and bundles that resonate with each partner's online store or channel. Launch and manage promotional campaigns and attach offers aligned with partner go-to-market plans. Use data-driven insights and A/B testing to optimize promotional strategies, page design, pricing, and timing to maximize conversion and attach rates. Experiment with promotional strategies like trial bundles and SKU promotions to enhance conversion. Coordinate with regional teams to ensure global readiness and execution of new initiatives. Performance Management & Optimization
Achieve key performance metrics such as Total Sell-Thru Units and Attach Rates on OEM.com, Microsoft.com, and Apple channels. Monitor performance, report progress, and adjust tactics to meet or exceed targets, aiming for high attach rates (~30%). Analyze conversion data and iterate on promotional strategies for best-in-class online attach practices. Provide regular updates to leadership, highlighting progress, insights, and scaling opportunities. Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support and scale initiatives worldwide, aligning on investment, pricing, and readiness. Helping all candidates find great careers is our goal.
