Job Description
Reviewing and verifying constructability of the plans and specifications. Creating and enforcing a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily with a constant monthly look ahead to ensure timely completion of the project. Initial project estimates and bidding and qualifying subcontractors Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project. Sending out invitations to bid and managing the bidding process. Negotiating scopes of work and final contract amounts, preparing, estimating and verifying change order requests Responding to RFI's or submittals and responding to subcontractor or consultants project related questions. Directing and managing each of the Superintendents and Project Engineers to maintain the performance of subcontractors and consultants on-site. Implementation of strict construction safety practices Verify compliance with the plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly jobsite meetings as well as managing and conducting other duties necessary for the successful completion of the projects. Review monthly subcontractor invoices Attend monthly budget draw meetings, and cost to complete MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
7+ years of experience as a Traveling Superintendent in the commercial construction industry Experience with commercial ground up projects preferred Experience with retail projects required Comfortable traveling through the Southeast region Technical degree level education in construction or related field Stable work record Knowledge in Construction Management or related field required Estimating experience required Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills What's on Offer
Base salary range: $90,000 - $100,000 (Package is negotiable subject to experience) Truck allowance Company offers project based commission structure Health insurance, dental and vision 401(k) PTO
