Hunt Electric, Inc.ofSalt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Licensed Industrial Electrical Foreman to join our teamwithin the Industrial Division.Can you plan, design, organize, andexecute electricalconstructionprojects? TheIndustrial Electrical Foreman must have a current and active Journeyman Electrician License issued from the State of Utah. A valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered as proof of experience, but a Utah journeyman license must be obtained within 30 days of employment. electrical construction experience is required.
This full-time Foreman Industrial Electrician position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. Major Duties:
Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
Plan and layout the project including planned installation materialtake-offquantities and toolneeds basedon the project schedule.
Establish a site-specific safety plan and evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and scheduleaffect.
Plan the projects material, equipment, and labor needs fortimelyarrival to and from the site.
Monitor daily progress to the short-term and long-term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules.
Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Utah Journeyman license.
Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.). Team player with acknowledging contributions by others.
Have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Bluebeam, WordandExcel.
Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, automation and controls, or wastewater treatment.
Have previously successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 2 to 50 personnel, meeting safety, quality and production goals.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, such as indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing
Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards.
Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers and instrumentation.
Skill in planning, designing, organizing, and executing electrical upgrade projects mandated by changing codes, regulations, and safety
Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems, devise, and carry out effective plans for repairing problems.
Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions and ask questions, as necessary.
Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and compute electrical
Ability to read, to understand, and to interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics and blueprints.
Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal
Ability to climb ladders, sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping, or kneeling and physical ability to perform tasks requiring strength and finger
