Transports materials, patients, and/or employees throughout the system in a safe and timely manner. Maintains the cleaning and maintenance schedule for the vehicle. Maintains a clean driving record and follows all New Jersey driving laws. Position Responsibilities: Transports materials, patients, or employees throughout the system or region as directed. Maintains a good working relationship with and assists patients and/or customers on and off the vehicle as needed. Loads and unloads materials as required. Recognizes and triages any patient concerns or problems to the appropriate staff when appropriate. Drives the vehicle safely at all times, maintaining a clean driving record. Ability to create the best possible schedules and route for meeting department objectives. Maintains schedule for routine vehicle service and reports any vehicle malfunctions quickly to the supervisor for evaluation and schedules such repair. Maintains a clean vehicle and inspects the vehicle daily to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working order. Performs basic office duties while waiting for patients or downtime. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: 2 years driving experience. Required Education: High School degree or equivalent. Training / Certification / Licensure: Driver's License Abstract must meet Virtua Health's insurance carrier standards. CPR where transporting patients. Defensive driving course preferred. CDL with appropriate endorsements required for the Mobile Farmer's Market, Mobile Grocery Store, and Mobile Pediatrics.
