Pantry and Warehouse Coordinator

St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati (SVDP) has served residents of greater Cincinnati for over 150 years with basic needs such as food, medicine, and homelessness prevention through its outreach center in the West End and through fifty-six parish-based volunteer Conferences (chapters). Scope of Position:

This position is responsible for supporting our Council's food assistance as well as providing logistical support to the Pantry and Resource Services team. This position will contribute to the daily operations of the Neyer Outreach Center's (NOC) processing center and food pantry. The role is full-time Monday-Friday with occasional evening or Saturday hours. The typical schedule will be 7:30am-4pm. This team member must consistently model the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide Logistical Support:

Coordinate shipping & receiving in Warehouse Support the logistical needs of NOC-based programs and services, including drives and special events, as well as supporting the Council's Pantry Network Coordinate outgoing shipments and donations, including working with partners and SVDP Conferences Coordinate the receiving of deliveries and donations that arrive in the warehouse Maintain schedule of pick-ups and deliveries Serve as a driver when staffing or volume of pickups requires Coordinate Pantry Operations:

Coordinate safety standards, compliance, storage efficiency,

volunteers in the pantry, equipment and pantry maintenance Support and coordinate volunteer activities in the Pantry Ensure food, health, and safety standards are followed Oversee daily operations of the Catino Choice Pantry Supervise the Pantry Associate and any staff assigned to the Catino Choice Pantry. Coordinate NOC Warehouse Operations:

Coordinate safety standards compliance, storage efficiency,

volunteers in the warehouse, equipment and warehouse maintenance

Support and coordinate volunteer activities in the warehouse Ensure food, health, and safety standards are followed Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including the cardboard baler, forklift, pallet jacks, and double stacker Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse facilities, including cleaning and organization Supervise the NOC Warehouse Associate and any staff assigned to the NOC Warehouse Assist Pantry Manager:

Support daily operations in the NOC processing center and food pantry

Provide support during set up and close down of pantry operations Shop with neighbors and support and lead volunteers in pantry tasks Assist in collecting, recording, and reporting pantry data, including use of our CMS database system and Excel spreadsheets Help support the Food Assistance Network by ensuring weekly orders are pulled. Provide pantry leadership when the Pantry Manager is unavailable, including morning pantry setup operations and Monday's. Qualifications:

High school diploma or its equivalent required 1-2 years of previous supervisor experience preferred Previous warehouse, pantry, and/or grocery store experience preferred Ohio Food Handlers Card or willing to undergo training A valid driver's license and a clean driving record required Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility and a willingness to help where needed Ability to problem solve and coordinate resources, including leading volunteers Planning and organizational skills Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft office products Desire to serve our neighbors and carry out the mission of SVDP Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time Ability to operate a box truck and forklift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to speak, hear, and engage in effective interaction, both in person and over the phone
