Data Center Technician (Level 2)
Location: Onsite Manassas, VA (TS Clearance Required) Length of Contract: 612 months (with potential for permanent conversion to end client) Top Skills Must Haves: Data Center Operations Rack and Stack Structured Cabling (Fiber & Copper) Hardware Troubleshooting Active TS Clearance Top Skills Details: Level 2 Technician experience Experience with ~75 rack deployments Pre-deployment tasks including MOR buildout, PRD pre-cabling and labeling Installation of power whips and HAC Rack unpacking, movement, footing, leveling, grounding, and baying Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols Secondary Skills Nice to Haves: IT certifications or formal education Broader facilities technician experience Familiarity with data center infrastructure standards Job Description / Key Responsibilities / Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Data Center Technician to support a large-scale rack deployment project. The technician will be responsible for end-to-end rack installation, including: Unpacking and inspecting racks Transporting racks from dock to final location Installing, leveling, grounding, and baying racks Performing structured cabling (fiber and copper) Supporting pre-deployment infrastructure tasks Ensuring all work aligns with site layout and safety standards This role requires a hands-on technician with a strong background in data center environments and an active TS clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 40-hour work week (MondayFriday) No overtime expected Must be comfortable working in PPE (safety shoes, gloves, glasses, hearing protection) Employee Value Proposition (EVP): This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a mission-critical federal data center project.
