Operates and maintains one or more systems that provide services such as heat, steam, air-conditioning, chillers, cooling towers and other ancillary equipment. Documents and records temperature, pressure, water chemistry, fuel consumption, and other data at specified intervals. Serves as the department call-center on off-hours and dispatches trades people as needed. Job Duties

Monitors operating status of utilities and equipment providing essential support services by conducting routine inspections and tours of the boiler room, chiller plant, various mechanical equipment areas, and hospital buildings. Performs frequent operational adjustments and routine preventive maintenance to the physical plant and other equipment. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and failures, determines necessary repairs to equipment, and initiates repairs Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, steam, air conditioning, and related electrical controls, pneumatic control systems, and piping systems. Serves as department call-center on off-hours or as needed. Dispatches trades people as needed. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED 1 year Experience in building maintenance or operations including mechanical and/or pipefitting. Strong mechanical aptitude. Analytical and physical ability to resolve problems; mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and good physical condition also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read operation manuals, mechanical drawings, and blueprints. DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications

Technical School Diploma Formal apprenticeship program or informal on the job training Experience in power plant operation and maintenance techniques, general equipment maintenance and repair. Fork Lift Operator Physical Demands

Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
