Job DescriptionAs a Technician - Field Inventory, you will travel through assigned areas to call on accounts. You will check stock/inventory and obtains new product orders. You will note the quantity of items for delivery to each account to ensure proper product inventory is maintained. You will review exposition of items on shelves. You will also build rapport with store management to maintain relationships.Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Responsibilities: Interface with customers to evaluate needs or concerns and communicates to Outside Sales Representatives (OSR). Maintain on-site daily product reporting and analysis to ensure supply chain controls. Source, upsell, and build relationships with existing and potential customers. Provide daily support of OSR's sales efforts and account maintenance functions. Ensure actual inventory count and communicate with warehouse personnel. Assist with on-site product location and identification. Enter, review, and release orders to support e-commerce solutions. Communicate changes, shortages, and concerns directly to customers and branch management. Ensure data in eStock is accurate and up to date. Answer questions from current and potential customers on Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) utilization. Perform daily scanning and sync tasks. Maintain eStock and eCrib VMI labels and webpage revisions to ensure minimum and maximum inventory levels. Deliver custom presentations on WESCO LEAN customer value, including Point of Use (vending applications), job trailers and WESCO/EESCODIRECT, ESTOCK. Review, control, and release customer orders, report daily customer status, and maintain barcoding and scanning practices for proper product identification and alignment with WESNETQualifications: 1 year of electrical, construction, or mechanical products required, 2 years preferred. 1 year of resolving technical, equipment, and service-related issues, 2 years preferred. Able to multi-task. Able to use hand tools and heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.) Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Strong presentation and persuasion skills. Ability to use win-win approach to resolve controversy, stay objective and fair when dealing with sensitive situations, and maintain constructive working relationships. Ability to work in team environment. Ability to meet emerging customer needs. Including strong customer service background. Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potential accounts. Valid driver's license is required - Drive company vehicle for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel 75% - 100%Working Environment: Outside Sales - Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities.
