Systems Administrator

We're looking for a system administrator with proven expertise in both Linux and Windows administration. You must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team to help us maintain and improve the systems and networks we support, providing our clients with functional and secure platforms suitable to meet their requirements. As a system administrator on our project, you'll install, maintain, audit, and support a hybrid network environment with a virtualized infrastructure. You'll be part of a team supporting the requirements of analysts, software engineers, and security team members. You will use your knowledge and skills to maintain and configure systems and network infrastructure to facilitate access while maintaining a high level of security. You'll provide quality technical support for end users and maintain responsibility for the technical infrastructure. You'll manage a mixture of physical and virtual Linux and Windows based servers and workstations with tools like Ansible, Active Directory, and vSphere. You'll monitor and improve the performance and security of systems and network infrastructure with tools like Splunk and ACAS. You'll work on racking servers, including mounting the equipment, connecting cables, and configuring the initial settings. You'll maintain secure baselines using STIGs and SCAP tools, and document procedures and processes to ensure knowledge retention. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate opportunities for improvements to the environment. You'll analyze current infrastructure to understand how to make sustainable improvements to increase security, reliability and availability for critical applications and infrastructure through the use of modern automation and virtualization tools. As a technical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help our customers meet their needs. You Have: 5+ years of experience in Linux or Red Hat administration, including Ansible, command line usage and scripting, NFS management, and upgrades 3+ years of experience in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, group policies, remote desktop management, Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Experience with virtualization administration using VMWare vSphere and ESXi hypervisors, including managing resources, shared storage, and virtual networking Knowledge of end user support of computer hardware and software problems Secret clearance HS diploma or GED CompTIA Security+, DoDD 8140, or DoDD 8570 Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with DevOps and CI/CD utilizing Atlassian or GitLab tools Experience with ACAS and SCAP tools and the STIG process Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation Knowledge of Splunk Knowledge of Grid computing resource management, including GridEngine or Slurm Knowledge of data backup and recovery solutions Knowledge of network administration, including Cisco switch configuration, VLANs and subnetting Knowledge of system imaging and gold load creation Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, or Engineering
