Warehouse Assistant
Assists the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Manager in all day to day activities regarding warehouse and inventory items. Receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
General Accountabilities Receives items to be stocked on shelves in warehouses or storage yards. Receives Packing slips from delivery driver, signs, and uploads to the right destination and maintains packing slip history. Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to Warehouse Manager. Marks stock items using identification tags or other labeling equipment. Inspect reels for damage. Ensures that the facilities are kept clean and organized. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Ensures that the lot and warehouse are keep clean, trash is in the appropriate places, grass mowed, and weeds are taken care of. Will be required to operate a forklift/skid steer. Will handle/assist with issuing material. Understand customer requirements specific to duties. Must maintain yard and ensure it remains clean and organized. *The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: A few months to one year of related experience. Class A CDL is preferred. Must be able to run a forklift/skid steer. Skills
