Hot Food Prep Cook - Utah Jazz & Utah Mammoth
We are seeking skilled and motivated hot food prep cooks to join our culinary team in providing high-quality food service during Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth game days and other special events. The hot prep cook will be responsible for preparing hot food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring timely and consistent service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about delivering excellent food quality in a fast-paced sports environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare hot menu items such as grilled items, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and other cooked foods according to recipe specifications. Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in food station setup and breakdown before and after events. Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and cooking equipment. Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards. Respond quickly to the needs of the kitchen and service staff during high-volume periods. Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols. Qualifications & Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Proven experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook in a commercial kitchen preferred. Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Good teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods. Capable of lifting heavy pots, pans, and ingredients. Ability to work in a noisy, high-energy environment. Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
