Cook Position

This position works in the kitchen and in concessions preparing food items for the facility and associated venues. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Preparing menu items for each banquet event order. Maintaining all kitchen equipment's cleanliness. Cooking recipes as directed. Maintaining clean safe working environment. Being creative in designing buffet food presentations. Preparing recipes as directed. Maintaining clean safe working environment. Other duties as assigned. Skills and abilities required include: Attention to detail. Good oral communication skills. Knowledge of units of measure. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Results driven. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of basic cooking procedures and techniques. Education and/or experience required: High School diploma or G.E.D. Must have six months previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen or equivalent. Serve safe certification preferred. Physical demands include: Daily lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Up to 5 minutes at a time. Constant reaching, standing, walking, and stooping. Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.
