Substitute Bus Drivers
Garrett Transit Service (GTS), a department of Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (GCCAC), is accepting applications for substitute bus drivers. This includes on-demand transports, meals-on-wheels deliveries, and head start. Hours worked per week are based on GTS need and the availability of the successful applicant. Applicants must have an excellent driving record and be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination, as well as complete basic first aid and CPR training. Ideal applicants have, or are able to obtain, a commercial driver license (CDL), class C or higher with passenger and school bus endorsements. GTS is willing to train the right applicant in obtaining the CDL requirement for this position. This is a safety-sensitive position, therefore successful applicants must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test, as well as be subject to random drug testing while employed. Also, a copy of a current driving record will be required. Applications will be accepted until the desired number of positions are filled.
