Receive, review, and transcribe physician's orders.Communicate and act as liaison between staff and the Clinical Manager or Nursing SupervisorActively participates in orientation and training of new team membersResponsible for proper utilization of supplies and equipment by staffCooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnelInitiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staffEstablish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promotes guest relationsArrange for scheduling of appointments and transportation of residents to other departments or outside appointmentsCoordinate all aspects of admissions, transfers and dischargesMake accurate clinical assessments and observations in emergency medical situationsObserve and evaluate symptoms and conditions of residents and assure that families and physician are updated and physician orders are followedPlan, implement, and see to completion the resident's plan of care. This plan is written on admission with continuous revisions.Fully aware of the implications of the Resident's Bill of Rights and seeks to promote its intentFollow emergency procedures and responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies ensuring the safety of the residents and staffFollow proper procedures and promotes safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environmentWillingness to work under direction and supervisionMaintain confidentiality regarding resident information must be maintained in strict confidence, as well as other information pertaining to the business of Messiah LifewaysProvide effective and thorough shift report to next shiftComplete timely and thorough incident and accident reports when requiredReport any allegation of resident abuse or neglect and missing narcotics promptly to the RN supervisor and assists with the investigation as requiredAdditional duties and tasks as assigned by the Clinical Manager and/or Nursing SupervisorAbility to learn and chart appropriately on a computerized health recordQualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:Desire to work with individuals who may be frail and agedWork cooperatively and productively with others, including residents, families, and other employeesEducation/Experience:LPN licensed in PennsylvaniaCertified in CPR by an approved program that meets state and federal regulationOne (1) year of clinical experience preferred
