Manually loads and unloads delivery truck, verifies parts loaded and unloaded, collects payments from customers, obtains signatures from receiving locations confirming the accuracy of parts unloaded/loaded and delivers returned items back to the branch. Essential Job Duties
Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents. Must follow DOT Procedures. Vehicles driven have a gross weight of over 10,001 pounds, but less 26,001 pounds. Physically loads Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made. Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads the truck, verifies parts unloaded, obtains signature of receiving location confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received and signs off on the integrity of product loaded at the location. Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts returned from customers to the branch. Picks up buy-out purchase orders from vendors on vendor "fill in" purchase orders and delivers parts back to the branch or customer. Collects accounts receivable, as necessary. Works in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products. Complies with established Company policies and procedures. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities
Not responsible for supervising employees. Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience 6+ months of driving and warehouse operations experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations when/as required. Preferred Qualifications
High School graduate or GED. Some college coursework is desired. Comprehensive knowledge of replacement parts for the aftermarket collision repair industry. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives. Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management. Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures. Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area. Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction. Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time. Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods (up to 12 hours at a time); use hands to operate machinery. May need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust. May occasionally wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. May need to work in cramped spaces that could require getting into awkward positions. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, extreme lighting, and high noise levels.
