Geospatial Engineer

We are seeking a Geospatial Engineer to support our government customer by applying advanced image processing techniques to enhance geospatial imagery. This role involves repurposing and void-filling geospatial images using Python and various algorithms to ensure high-quality data for mission-critical applications. Key responsibilities include: Apply image processing techniques to repurpose and enhance geospatial imagery. Develop and implement algorithms to void-fill incomplete image datasets. Utilize Python and geospatial libraries to process and analyze imagery data. Collaborate with analysts and developers to refine and optimize image processing workflows. Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote support as needed. Required qualifications: Experience with geospatial image processing techniques. Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., GDAL, OpenCV, NumPy, Rasterio). Strong understanding of image enhancement, void filling, and algorithm development. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Preferred qualifications: Experience working with government or defense-related geospatial projects. Familiarity with remote sensing data and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). Knowledge of machine learning techniques for image analysis.
