As a Station Agent, you are responsible for a variety of operational and customer-facing tasks that are critical to our aviation operations: Passenger Check-In: Process passenger check-ins, ask if the passenger is traveling with any hazardous items, and verify the weight of passengers and their carryons for weight and balance. Cargo Handling: Accept and process luggage, including labeling, and weighing. Ensure proper storage and security of freight during transport. Baggage Handling: Tag, load, and unload luggage from the aircraft, ensuring it is transported safely and efficiently to/from the terminal. Assist passengers with lost or delayed baggage claims. Reservations and Ticketing: Handle walk-up and phone reservations, assist with ticket sales, refunds, and rebook passengers in the event of flight delays or cancellations. Boarding and Deboarding Assistance: Escort passengers to the aircraft, ensure a smooth boarding process, and assist with deplaning upon arrival. Aircraft Ground Operations: Position and remove tail stands, chocks, and other ground equipment as needed. Assist with fueling coordination and liaise with flight crew to ensure on-time departures. Flight Following and Coordination: Track flights using the companys flight following systems, when requested by Flight Coordinators, to ensure on-time arrivals and departures. Communicate updates between the ground crew and the flight team. De-icing Procedures: Complete de-icer training and maintain proficiency in aircraft de-icing procedures during winter operations to ensure safe departures in icy conditions. Apply de-icing fluids as necessary, following established safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Forklift Operations: Complete forklift training and maintain proficiency to safely operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo. Use forklifts for efficient movement of freight to and from the aircraft. Customer Service: Answer passenger inquiries by phone or in-person regarding flight schedules, delays, baggage, and general travel information. Assist with special passenger requests, such as wheelchair assistance or unaccompanied minors, ensuring they have a safe and comfortable journey. Aircraft Interior Maintenance: Clean and prepare the aircraft between flights, wiping down services, trash removal, and buckling seatbelts (King Air). Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in compliance with FAA guidelines. Ensure all activities on the ramp are conducted safely and within company procedures.
