Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Supports users and staff of the Campus Center in all matters related to audio and visual production associated with events and daily operations. Responsibilities include Assists with setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and video equipment, including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, monitors, theatrical lighting, cables, and sound boards. Services, maintains, and repairs systems and makes recommendations on new procedures and purchases. General Responsibilities
Provides operational support for various education technology systems and infrastructure, including participating in the specification, acquisition and implementation of hardware and software systems. Ensures maximum availability and performance of various technology hardware, software, and systems, monitors incident reporting queues, investigates and resolves equipment failures, diagnoses operational problems. Develops and implements preventive maintenance procedures and participates in life cycle replacement on technology equipment. Installs, tests, and monitors applications software and hardware in computer systems. Provides technical training and support to junior support staff, units and departments, maintains knowledge,and evaluates emerging technologies. Performs inventory control and collaborates with outside vendors as appropriate. Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) Preferred
Associate's degree WORK EXPERIENCE

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This position allows the individual to work a varied on-site schedule in relation to facility and/or event needs as well as student staffing.
