783 Irvingwick Drive SW, Heath, Ohio 43056 Position Description: GENERAL DUTIES: Works under general supervision and requires knowledge of radio and computer communication systems to coordinate and manage communications between Licking County Law Enforcement Agencies and other emergency response agencies. Receives, transmits, and processes radio and computer communications; utilizes Computer Aided Dispatch and radio to dispatch law enforcement personnel; responds to officer and civilian requests; provides assistance as needed. Operates and monitors multiple computerized telecommunication systems and radio communication systems to transmit and receive messages. Assists the public by answering emergency calls, coordinating responses, providing first-aid instructions, and other emergency assistance. Routes telephone calls and disseminates information to deputies, law enforcement agencies, and emergency personnel. Additional duties may be assigned. Brief Description: The Licking County Sheriffs Office is seeking qualified applicants to build an eligibility list for current and future law enforcement dispatcher positions. Job Prerequisites: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizen, possess a valid Ohio Drivers License, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Upon hire, candidates must successfully complete a field training program and obtain training and certification in Emergency Police and Medical protocols. Must become CPR certified and LEADS certified.
