Title:

Quality Technician I (2 Openings)

Hiring Manager : Cyndi Lynch

Shift : 1st Shift (1 Possibly going to 2nd Shift)

Hours : 5:00am - 3:30pm (Must be able to work mandatory days)

Rate : $22.95 / Hour

Location:

F135 Main Street - Huntley, IL

Summary:

Quality Technicians work closely with Manufacturing and other support departments to communicate compliance, monitor product quality, maintain quality records, quarantine suspect material, and resolve quality related issues.

Experience

1. High school Diploma or equivalent

2. 6 months previous production line and inspection experience

3. Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Machines, Tools, and Equipment

1. Measuring Instruments

2. Thermoforming manufacturing equipment

3. Computer, telephone, general office equipment

Environmental Demands:

Exposure to heat, greases, and lubricants Controlled production environment Clean, heated and airconditioned office

Physical and Visual Activities/Demands:

Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, reading, writing and talking.

Skill Levels

Level One: 1. Reviews, understands, and follows the inspection control plan for manufactured items 2. Instructs and advises the Manufacturing staff on the specific requirements of each job 3. Coordinates, conducts and records First Piece and In-Process Inspection and Testing 4. Monitors the production process and collects dimensional data 5. Maintains all inspection and testing records, coordinates record retention 6. Quarantines all non-conforming products and raw material as per inspection control plan 7. Understands and ensures proper packing standards 8. Effectively utilizes testing and measuring equipment including: scales, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, magna mikes, burst tester, barcode scanner 9. Understands and ensures Minimum Workmanship Requirements 10. Understands and uses TEQ terminology 11. Inputs SPC data as requested 12. Maintain, controls and prints labels 13. Understands and consistently complies with Controlled Environment Procedures 14. Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.
