Cyber Systems Security Engineer
You will be a Cyber Systems Security Engineer in the Program Protection Organization. Our organization oversees all aspects of Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity across Missiles and Fire Control. We are chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain secure products across our Lines of Business. What You Will Be Doing
As the Cyber Systems Security Engineer you will be responsible for providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of System Security Engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems. Your responsibilities will include: Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle. Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems. Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software. Verifying implementation of system security requirements. Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state of the art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products. Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities and threats against System Security posture on product designs. Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks against Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products. *For a level 3, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education. *Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to beginning employment, and then obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance while employed to be considered for this position. Experience working within the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC). Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements. Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems. Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date in order to meet program requirements. Desired Skills
Experience developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) requiring Systems Security Engineering implementations is preferred. Design experience through the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC) developing embedded system security solutions for DoD weapon or tactical systems. Tactical as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solving. Experience with embedded systems design. Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively. Experience with embedded system vulnerability scanning and Software Assurance (SwA) activities. Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principals and process. Experience in the identification, decomposition, allocation and verification of NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls on DoD systems. Experience in supporting Security Verification testing on developed DoD Weapon Systems. This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
