Project Manager/Scrum Master

Steampunk is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master with an appetite for taking on new challenges. You're going to be challenged each day with new and complex mission and delivery opportunities as you serve as the team lead for a major mission system. Specific responsibilities include: Ensuring team(s) maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery Providing visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress Creating Roadmaps and Milestone charts for the project Being well managed - understand and coach the team on delivery controls, compliance to minimize operational, and reputational risk Understanding domain architecture and targets to identify upstream and downstream dependencies and to support the team in risk management Proactively identifying impediments and appropriately resolving using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required) Integrating Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products Coaching Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization Coaching the team to improve collaboration and self-organization Utilizing team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve Assessing the current organization and delivery environment and recommending optimal Agile practices tailored to the client We need more than just a coach, we need someone who will also roll up their sleeves and deliver too. Innovating with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery Developing understanding and encouragement of team's innovation and improvement Preparing and delivering effective communications both verbally and orally regarding progress and status for both internal and client teams Performing hands-on project work, including analysis, design and change management, as needed by the project Qualifications include: Authorized to work for any U.S. employer 7+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches 7+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people Excellent interpersonal/communication skills Experience working in a studio/human centered design approach CSM certification required PMP certification preferred Safe Agile certification preferred Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
