Hybrid - Westlake Village, CA - Tuesdays through Thursdays/weekly About the Role: Guitar Center is looking for a talented and experienced Product Manager - Innovation, to lead the vision and execution of technology products that will redefine how musicians learn, buy, and sell gear. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of music retail by driving digital experiences that blend AI, automation, immersive tools, and customer-centric design. What Youll Do: Product Vision & Strategy Define and own the product vision and strategic roadmap for innovative technology initiatives. Focus on transforming the customer journey across Guitar Centers eCommerce platforms and in-store experiences. Ensure roadmap alignment with company objectives, customer needs, and financial goals. Product Discovery & Execution Lead the discovery, planning, and execution of new products, such as: AI-powered Assistants Trade-in solutions Personalized learning tools Studio configuration experiences Balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, and operational needs throughout the product lifecycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, UX, data, marketing, and store operations teams. Drive products from concept to launch with cross-functional alignment. AI & Personalization Leverage AI and machine learning to create smarter, more personalized experiences. Guide system instructions, prompt design, and conversational frameworks Product Requirements & Metrics Create detailed product requirements, user stories, KPIs, and success metrics. Rigorously test and iterate to maximize outcomes. Customer Experience & Impact Champion a customer-obsessed mindset across all digital and in-store touchpoints. Define and track metrics that measure customer satisfaction and business performance. Business Case & ROI Build ROI models and business cases for new technology investments. Ensure alignment with strategic priorities and long-term value creation. Innovation & Emerging Trends Serve as an internal advocate for innovation and forward-thinking product strategies. Identify emerging trends in: Music technology Generative AI Retail transformation Customer engagement New Product Opportunities Identify and explore greenfield product opportunities and business models. Develop stand-alone solutions that: Drive incremental revenue Reach new customer segments Operate independently of existing platforms Executive Communication Regularly present product strategy, results, and roadmap updates to senior leadership, including the CEO. Drive alignment and secure executive buy-in. To join our band, you'll need the following experience: Music Affinity Strong background or passion for music whether as a musician, hobbyist, producer, or gear enthusiast. Product Management Experience 5+ years in technology product management, with a proven track record of launching impactful consumer or retail products. Customer & User Experience Deep understanding of customer experience design (CX), UX best practices, and digital product development methodologies. Cross-Functional Leadership Demonstrated success managing multiple initiatives across engineering, business, and design teams. AI & Emerging Tech Experience integrating AI technologies to enhance product capabilities. Experience fine-tuning LLMs or working with supervised datasets to improve model performance. Familiarity with prompt engineering, conversational design, or system instruction frameworks is preferred. Vendor & Partnership Management Skilled in evaluating and managing third-party technology partners for product delivery and innovation. Communication & Executive Engagement Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver executive-level presentations that clearly convey product vision, business value, and ROI.
