(Onsite 4-5 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA) As a Senior IT Support Engineer at Weedmaps you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our internal IT systems and services across a fast-growing cannabis tech company. You'll lead complex troubleshooting efforts, manage IT related projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure IT solutions. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service mindset and the technical depth to support modern workplace environments. You will be responsible for administering SaaS tools (such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, and Atlassian), supporting hybrid infrastructure (including cloud-based identity and access systems), and driving IT projects that improve efficiency across the organization. The impact you'll make: Provide guidance and support in resolving complex technical issues. Experience supporting C suite and other VIP clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Irvine or relevant office working in office 5 days a week, with duties including but not limited to: On-site support IT lab organization Asset tracking and inventory management Conference room upkeep and development Collaborate with infrastructure teams to fulfill administrative duties and create SOPs including monitoring health, patching, maintenance and optimization of core platforms including but not limited to: Jamf Google Workspace Azure/inTune Automox Slack Jira Partner with the network team and be onsite backup for network infrastructure, troubleshooting, patching, etc. Experience in IT project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Manage IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, implementation, and documentation. Evaluate and recommend IT solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and user satisfaction Develop and maintain IT support policies, procedures, and best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert on IT matters, providing guidance and training to end-users and stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs and requirements. Conduct regular assessments of IT systems and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, making recommendations for adoption as appropriate. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, particularly regarding IT security and data privacy in collaboration with infosec and infrastructure teams. Design, maintain and support onboarding efforts for new hires and new hire orientations. Other duties as assigned What you've accomplished: 5-7 years experience in IT support, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role. In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry developments and best practices. Experience in IT project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Bonus Points: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
