MRI Lead Technologist (Full-Time)
GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking a MRI Lead Technologist (Full-Time). Our ideal candidate will report to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. This position performs diagnostic procedures with skills and without requiring constant supervision in CT and MRI. This position will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent. Diploma from certified school of Radiology. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Current (Insert State) Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure if required by state. Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license or Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) must be obtained within 6 months of start date and maintained current thereafter. Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Radiology Technologist required, acute care experience preferred. One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in two (2) modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR, or Cath Lab) required, acute care experience preferred. Skills: Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
