Automation Engineer
Design and lead the automation architecture for Day 1 and Day 2 operations across telco cloud and containerized platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenStack). Develop and maintain declarative infrastructure and application automation pipelines using tools such as Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, GitOps (ArgoCD), and Event-Driven Ansible (EDA). Implement closed-loop automation and remediation workflows integrated with observability stacks (Prometheus, Loki, Jaeger, Instana, etc.). Automate CNF onboarding, configuration, scaling, monitoring, and healing processes. Define and enforce automation standards, best practices, runbooks, and reusable modules. Lead integration with network orchestration systems, OSS/BSS interfaces, and service assurance platforms. Work closely with SRE and NOC teams to identify and automate high-impact Day 2 incident patterns (e.g., RCA, VF rebind, node drain, cert renewal). Contribute to AI/ML-based predictive automation strategies and policy-based enforcement. Mentor junior automation engineers and serve as technical lead across projects. Skills: DevOps, Cloud Operations, Telcom, Application Support, AMF, SMF, IMS, PCF, Linux, OpenShift, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, ServiceNow AIOps, Red Hat. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with event-driven automation, EDA rule engines, or AI-Ops platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Moogsoft, IBM AIOps, Dynatrace) Exposure to security automation (e.g., cert lifecycle, RBAC drift detection) Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks (Kyverno, OPA) and compliance automation Participation in TM Forum, Linux Foundation, or CNTT/Anuket initiatives Experience with multi-cloud telco infrastructure (AWS Wavelength, Azure for Operators, Google Distributed Cloud Edge) Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $67.00/hr.
