Position: Concessions Attendant- Nov 1st
Salary: $16.50
Type: Part-time position, expected to work non-regular hours; nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Concessions Worker reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with all departments at @the Grounds. The Concessions Worker is responsible for greeting guests in a pleasant manner while filling food and beverage orders. The Concession Worker will operate the Point-of-Sale system and collect money for purchased food and beverage items. Must be 18 or older for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Concession Workers are responsible for the following:
Required to complete the Food Safety/Handlers training and the CA Alcohol Server training. Take customer orders and assemble them correctly. Check identification for age-restricted items, such as alcoholic beverages. Accept payment from customers via a cash register. Check food items to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Keep the assigned area clean, sanitary, and safe. Perform basic maintenance of machines and equipment as needed. Answer questions about concession stand location, and prices of goods. Under the guidance of a supervisor, maintain concession stand records with information on products used and food served to customers. Complete inventory sheets daily, nothing supplies that need to be replenished. Enter data into the computerized cash register system. They may also be responsible for balancing register tills at the end of the day. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory. Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
