Senior Administrative Compliance Specialist

Assist with the administration, i.e., review, committee support, management plan monitoring, and compliance infrastructure development, of conflicts of interest (COIs), conflicts of commitment (COCs), and institutional research conflicts of interest (ICOIs). Support the ongoing development of the University's Compliance & Ethics Program.
•Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and excellent oral and written communication skills
•Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office): e-mail, correspondence, web-based research, use of databases; telephone communication, filing, and retrieval of records
•Ability to assess complex conflict scenarios and provide clear, actionable recommendations
•Ability to educate and train university faculty, researchers and staff on COI and COC policies and best practices
•Knowledge of federal and state Conflict of Interest (COI) and Conflict of Commitment (COC) regulations, including NIH, NSF and other agency-specific requirements
REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK, PHYSICAL, AND DRUG SCREENING FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES:
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.
•Bachelor's Degree •5 years or comparable combination of education and related experience
•Experience working with university faculty and staff
•Direct experience with COI and COC policies and practices in a higher education setting
•Background in science or medicine
